He will join Rangers on an initial one-year loan deal, with QPR and West Ham splitting his £15,000-aweek wages.

Rangers are also hoping to wrap up a deal for Blackpool defender Kaspars Gorkss for £250,000.

The 26-year-old Latvia international has been with Blackpool since January 2007.

Watford and Preston have also been linked with moves for Gorkss, who impressed while making 40 appearances in the Championship last season as Blackpool steered clear of the relegation battle.
