Bolton 1-1 Aris Salonika: Stelios steals stoppage-time point

Their chances of making the last 32 were hanging by a thread after a wellexecuted volley from Kalvo left them trailing just before half-time.
Late drama: Stelios puts Bolton level
The strike from the night's most impressive player may have been one of the visitors' few meaningful efforts but it was sufficient to leave Bolton needing another late show.
Sandwiched in between Premier League meetings with Manchester United and Liverpool on Sunday, Bolton boss Megson decided to leave his most potent forces on the bench. There was no place in the starting line-up for either Nicolas Anelka or El Hadji Diouf with Kevin Davies, the hero of the 2-2 draw at Bayern Munich earlier this month, asked to spearhead the attack.
Aris had not won any of their previous five away games in Europe, but Real Zaragoza were dispatched in the preliminary tie and they followed that by handing out a three-goal defeat to Red Star Belgrade.
However, it was not until midway through the half that either goalkeeper was unduly troubled.
Midfielder Rodrig Siston's sidefoot from the edge of the area left Bolton keeper Jussi Jaaskelainen rooted to his spot but was off target.
Bolton lost midfielder Gavin McCann through a nasty head injury but his replacement Mikel Alonso was at the heart of Bolton's best move before the break. The Spaniard found Stelios, whose cross to the far post could not be converted by Davies.
A minute before the interval, Aris went ahead.
Nikolaos Karampelas's cross was only half cleared by centre half Abdoulaye Meite and Kalvo'swell-struck volley flew inside Jaaskelainen's right-hand post.
Andy O'Brien raced clear from the restart, but his effort struck the crossbar.
Bolton improved after the interval but it appeared was going to be too little to late until Stelios's vital intervention.
With the last attack of the game, Stelios brought down Danny Guthrie's cross from the right and drove the ball past Kostas Chalkias.
Bolton face Red Star in their final group match next Thursday.
