are set to sign Watford defender Danny Shittu in a surprise £2million deal.
Bolton manager Gary Megson has seen his bid for Nigeria centre half Shittu accepted by cash-strapped Watford. And Shittu, 27, who recently rejected a move to Rangers, had a medical on Sunday night and is expected to fly out to meet Megson in Greece on Monday.
Heading north: Defender Dan Shittu is set to complete a switch from Watford to Bolton.
Shittu's arrival will hasten Abdoulaye Meite's departure. Hull are in pole position to sign Meite for around £2m after West Bromwich abandoned their bid.
Meanwhile, Bolton target Elyaniv Barda, 26, has hit out at his club Genk's £4m valuation.
The striker said: 'I think Genk went over the top. It could be they threw out a price so high so I wouldn't leave because they really want me.'
