The 23-year-old has agreed a three-and-ahalf-year deal, as revealed by Sportsmail, and will fill the gap left by Gary Speed's impending loan move to Sheffield United.

Cohen, who plays for Maccabi Netanya and is the son of former Liverpool and Rangers defender Avi, said: "My dream has come true.

"I'm taking another step forward in my career. I expect to continue my progress and justify the faith shown in me by manager Gary Megson."
