Boss Kev's icy blast after late call by ref

Sheffield United boss Kevin Blackwell was fuming over the late postponement of Saturday's tie against Leyton Orient, writes Tom Collomosse.

Blackwell backed referee Iain Williamson's decision not to play the game due to a frozen pitch, but was angry that the call was left until two hours before the 3pm kick-off.

Blackwell (above) said: "To find out while we were on the bus to the ground was a bit late. It was definitely the right decision, but an earlier call would have stopped a lot of people travelling."

The tie will now be played on 13 January, with the winners at home to either Charlton or Norwich.
