Braveheart minnows worry Wallace

Ireland flanker David Wallace says Georgia's courageous display against Argentina on Tuesday has illustrated the challenge his country face in qualifying for the World Cup quarter-finals.

Georgia and Namibia were expected to be Pool D's whipping boys, conceding a stack of tries which could prove crucial in the event of a three-way tie on points between Ireland, Argentina and France.

Wallace: no let-up

Georgia's bruising 33-3 defeatby Argentinaand Namibia's remarkable performance in their 32-17 loss against Ireland has forced a hasty rethink.

The emerging nations may struggle to maintain their rousing start to the World Cup, especially Georgia, who play their second game in five days when they face Ireland on Saturday in Bordeaux.

But Wallace, 31, believes their heroics so far suggest the group of death will be even more gruelling than first thought.

"After watching Georgia we know it's not going to be an easy pool, that's for sure," said the Munster openside.

"Georgia and Namibia have shown they haven't come here to make up the numbers. They won't lie down.

"It means that we'll have to work hard in every game. It will be intense when we play Georgia and we'll have to play a lot better than we did against Namibia.

"We'll have to hold on to the ball a lot more and try to break them down rather than trying to score tries from everywhere."
