Brazilian striker Jo iwill make his Manchester City debut tomorrow in the first leg of the club's UEFA Cup first qualifying round tie in the Faroe Islands.
The game against part-timers EB/Streymur will also be new boss Mark Hughes' first in control of the Eastlands club.
City fly out at lunchtime for the match that will be played in the capital Torshavn.
New goal: Jo will lead the attack for Manchester City against EB/Streymur.
EB's own ground holds just 1,000, a third of the little town's population, so the Faroe Island league leaders will use the 6,000-capacity Torsvollur Stadium.
City will have a hardy travelling support of 250, a group of whom have already arrived in the Faroes via ferry to the Shetlands and a hired trawler. They left on Monday.
Hughes is leaving nothing to chance for this tie, City qualifying for the competition via the Fair Play league, and travels with his strongest possible squad.
Jo, signed from CSKA Moscow for £19million, will lead the attack and there is also a place in the squad for striker Rolando Bianchi.
The Italian managed just 10 starts under former boss Sven-Goran Eriksson before being sent out on loan last season.
Micah Richards is also likely to play after returning from injury.
Richard Dunne, fresh from signing a new contract, will skipper the side.
Hughes takes goalkeepers Joe Hart and Kasper Schmeichel but Bernardo Corradi has picked up an injury in training.
Provisional squad: Hart, Schmeichel, Onuoha, Dunne, Richards, Ball, Corluka, Garrido, Petrov, Hamann, Johnson, Ireland, Jo, Elano, Vassell, Benjani, Evans,
Bianchi.
