Brian O'Driscoll bids for special Kiwi win

Ireland hope to mark Brian O'Driscoll's 50th Test as captain by defeating New Zealand at Croke Park tomorrow.

O'Driscoll, 29, has won 33 of his 49 matches in charge and, having led the Irish to victories over Australia, South Africa, France and England, the outside-centre needs the All Blacks to complete the set.

Ireland have failed to beat New Zealand in 21 attempts but full-back Girvan Dempsey said: "Beating them for the first time on the same day as Brian reaches his 50 Tests as captain would be fairytale stuff.

"All the players will do everything to ensure it's a special day for him."
