British women sneak into 10m diving final

Tonia Couch and Stacie Powell have both managed to book a place in the final of the women's 10 metres platform diving competition.

The British duo qualified for this morning's semi-final in 12th and 14th places respectively out of the 18 qualifiers.

They needed to finish in the top 12 to reach the final, and they managed it with Powell 11th with a score of 301.75 and Couch the very last of the qualifiers with a total score of 297.20, a mere 0.60 ahead of Italy's Tania Cagnotto.
