Bruce warns Hull over King move after delay causes problems

Steve Bruce has warned that he is ready to pull the plug on Marlon King's move from Wigan.

The Premier League newcomers agreed a club record £3million fee for the striker a fortnight ago but much to boss Bruce's annoyance, the deal has stalled.

After playing King - a £5m buy from Watford in January - for an hour against Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday, Bruce said: 'It's not happening at the moment, so I'll probably knock the offer on the head.

'It's gone on long enough.' Hull's poor pre-season continued yesterday when they lost 1-0 at Hearts.
