Bumper is a Turner prize

Hayley Turner, who last month became the first woman in Britain to reach 100 winners in a calendar year, has said she would like a ride in the Bumper at the Cheltenham Festival in March.

Despite never having been to the track before, Turner said: "My sponsor actually rang me and suggested it. I think it's a great idea but I'm not sure that any of the trainers would want me to ride.

"I'll have a word with my agent and see what he can do. It would be lovely, even just to go for the day, as I've never been to Cheltenham."
