Burnley tell Fulham to raise their bid if they want to land Lafferty

Burnley have invited Fulham to increase their £3million offer for Kyle Lafferty.

The Championship club rejected a bid for their 20-year-old Northern Ireland striker in August but new manager Owen Coyle said: 'I am keen to keep my best players but, football being football, people will be looking at him.

'There comes a time when business kicks in and if a young player gets a good offer that could benefit him it is something the club will look at.

'But I do feel he would benefit from playing another year at Burnley at least to help him develop.'
