Calderwood: Now Dons will try to finish the job with style after Bayern draw

Defiant Jimmy Calderwood promised Bayern Munich another fright night in Germany next Thursday and insisted Aberdeen can stun the UEFA Cup favourites by dumping them out of the competition.
The Dons manager was glowing with pride after last night's sensational 2-2 first-leg draw at Pittodrie that kept 20,047 fans on the edge of their seats throughout.

How's that for starters: Aberdeen's Josh Walker scores the first goal
English teenagers Josh Walker and Sone Aluko twice had Aberdeen ahead in a riveting first half before Turkish international Hamit Altintop's 55thminute equaliser via the penalty spot.
Aberdeen will take 6,000 hopeful fans to Munich and Calderwood has vowed to attack Ottmar Hitzfeld's all-stars once again.
"What do we have to do now? We must go there and win 1-0," said Calderwood with a smile. "We will have a go and we'll try to score against them. We have to do that or else we are out and I still say all the pressure is on Bayern Munich.
"We can go there with nothing to lose. We are up against the seventh-richest club in the world but we actually dominated spells in this game."
Both Walker and Aluko are not yet 19 and Calderwood feels the no-fear attitude of his young side is a positive factor to take to the Allianz Arena.
"We have young lads and they have no real fear," said the Dons boss.

"Josh and Sone are 18, Zander is only 22 and Andrew Considine is a youngster, as well. It is when you get older you start to worry more.
"So we'll give it our best shot. It is a fabulous stadium and I've spoken to the Bolton coaching staff about how they drew 2-2 there.
"Football is always 11 against 11 and I kept saying that to the players all week. It was a massive result, especially after losing nine goals against Celtic and Dundee United."
Calderwood was angry with Spanish referee Eduardo Iturralde Gonzalez after he gave Bayern the penalty for hand-ball against Alan Maybury - yet failed to penalise Munich's Andreas Ottl for a similar incident inside the first 30 seconds.
"I felt we should have had a penalty right at the start but we did not get it," the Dons boss added. "The two incidents were similar. If you give one, then you have to give the other.
"We wanted a bit of history and another victory over Bayern after the events of 1983 but I still think we've managed a wee slice of history.
"We've pitted ourselves against the best in Europe and only really let ourselves down in Athens. We played really well for much of the game tonight, although I admit we were hanging on towards the end.
"But the players have restored a lot of pride, especially after losing heavily to United and Celtic. That is the first time that has happened to me in management and it was horrible. But the players responded and raised their game magnificently."

Controversial: Hamit Altintop celebrates his penalty
Calderwood plucked rookies Walker and Aluko from Middlesbrough and Birmingham respectively. City boss Alex McLeish was paraded on the Pittodrie pitch at half-time last night, along with other members of the 1983 team which beat Bayern in a Cup Winners' Cup quarter-final.
"Those two guys have a big career ahead of them," said Calderwood. "Josh has been capped by England at various levels and you can see why. Sone showed amazing skill but big Alex was here, which might not be a good thing.
"They had to work hard for those goals and they were brilliant. The execution of both strikes was fantastic.
"It is just a pity they scored with a penalty and a good finish from Miroslav Klose." Bayern boss Hitzfeld insisted Aberdeen's performance had not caught him by surprise.
"I've seen them and knew how they played against FC Copenhagen," said the veteran German coach. "When they are on fire like that, they can be a dangerous side. 'But we have scored twice and it is advantage to Bayern. We are the favourites to get through this tie now and we'll have our own fans behind us in the Allianz Arena."
Aberdeen: Langfield, Maybury, Diamond, Considine, Mair, Nicholson, Walker, Severin, Aluko, Mackie, Miller. Subs: Soutar, Lovell, Touzani, Daniel Smith, Maguire, Bus, De Visscher.
Bayern Munich: Rensing, Lell, Lucio, Demichelis, Jansen, Altintop, Ottl, Ze Roberto, Schweinsteiger, Toni, Klose. Subs: Kraft, Podolski, Schlaudraff, Sosa, Lahm, Breno, Kroos.
Referee: Eduardo Iturralde Gonzalez (Spain)
