Capello ready for change of Hart

The England coach is an admirer of the in-form Manchester City youngster and, for all the plaudits David James has received for his penalty-saving heroics in Portsmouth's FA Cup victory at Preston on Sunday, Capello has bemoaned the fact that he was forced to 'reinstate a 37-year-old' for his first game in charge, the encounter with Switzerland at Wembley earlier this month.
One for the future: Fabio Capello says he has been impressed with Manchester City's Joe Hart
In an interview on Italian radio, Capello has expressed his frustration with the fact that so few players in the Barclays Premier League are available to him.
He said: 'Only 38 per cent of the players are English. The pool is reduced. I have had to reinstate a 37-year-old goalkeeper but I have spotted one in the Under 21s who is very interesting.'
That goalkeeper is 20-year-old Hart and he could well leap ahead of James as well the other two goalkeepers he selected for his first squad — Scott Carson and Chris Kirkland — and Paul Robinson, Robert Green and the injured Ben Foster. Capello nevertheless said how much he is enjoying English football. 'Their culture is extraordinarily beautiful,' he said. 'The stadiums are always full, they give their utmost but it is always in the correct way. The referees let the game run, in contrast to Italy where the play is constantly broken up.
'But certainly the media pressure is heavy, particularly on the national coach.'
