Captain Marvel Robson says Ronaldo will reject Real and stay with United

Former Manchester United captain Bryan Robson believes Cristiano Ronaldo is happy at Manchester United and will remain with the club despite the public overtures of Spanish giants Real Madrid.
Robson, who is back with the Red Devils in an ambassadorial role, was the subject of overseas interest himself during his playing days but eventually opted to stay with the club.
Staying: Ronaldo will not leave, says Robson
Now he believes Ronaldo, who is currently out for up to three months after undergoing ankle surgery, will shrug off the media circus which has tracked his every move since Real's interest first came to light and follow suit by committing himself to Sir Alex Ferguson's side.
Former Middlesbrough and West Brom boss Robson told the Daily Star Sunday: 'In 1983 I was wanted by three Italian clubs - AC Milan, Sampdoria and Juventus.
'Transfer fees weren't as high then but it would have been a world-record fee
- only for United to price me out of a move.
'It was a similar situation to the one Cristiano is in now, in that United
wouldn't let me go for what would have been a world-record fee.
'I was happy to stay and I think Ronaldo is happy at the club too. He might have small doubts but I think all the media hype and what has been coming out of Spain has really blown the situation out of proportion.
'And I see Ronaldo, once he is over his ankle operation, being part of the team.'
