Cash in on Ibn Khaldun

The Godolphin bandwagon has cranked into top gear in the past week and IBN KHALDUN (Ascot, nb, 3.00) can add to recent gains in the Group Three Deloitte Autumn Stakes.

Sheik Mohammed's team have been criticised for not unearthing juvenile talent in recent seasons but the Group One success of the stable's Rio De La Plata has been a catalyst for the likes of Calming Influence, Envisage, Fateh Field and Storm Force to make winning debuts this week.

Blue heaven: Ibn Khaldun can extend stable's hot streak

There is no doubt the stable's Ibn Khaldun is also progressing as he showed in slamming a competitive 15-runner field over today's course last time.

The manner of his victory was eyecatching with his sharp turn of foot perhaps the most pleasing aspect of a cosy two-length success.

The son of Dubai Destination has the opportunity to land his first Pattern race triumph today and, with his stable in blistering form that delivered four wins yesterday, he looks a good bet to grasp it.

TREASON TRIAL (York, nap, 5.20) is a sporting suggestion to win the finale on the Knavesmire.

Stef Liddiard's stable have found some form in the last fortnight and her six-year- old won this race in 2004 and 2005.

Admittedly, he is 6lb out of the handicap today, but hopefully that will ensure the bookmakers underestimate his chance and 14 furlongs on a flat track are his optimum conditions.

CHARLOTTEBUTTERFLY (Kempton, 9.20) appeared to find the 10 furlongs at the track stretching her stamina on her last run. She drops back to a mile and should go well.

Michael Murphy looks a conditional jockey to follow in the National Hunt sphere and the youngster has a chance to supplement his recent Uttoxeter victory aboard HENRY'S PRIDE (Bangor, 3.25), who looks an improved performer since joining trainer Alison Thorpe.

Bengo (Chepstow, 2.35) is today's lay.
