Chairman Gold 'will do everything possible' to keep Eric Black at Birmingham

Birmingham chairman David Gold insists he "will do everything possible" to stop assistant manager Eric Black following Steve Bruce to Wigan.

Former Coventry boss Black will be in charge of Birmingham's home game with Portsmouth on Saturday and Gold is keen to make sure he stays.

Bruce and Black: will they be reunited at Wigan?

Gold said: "I believe Eric Black is special. I really admire him. His multi-lingual skills are so important in communicating with our foreign players. I want him to stay with us."
