Charlton and Hull facing FA rap after bust-up

Pardew, whose side won 2-1, insisted Lloyd Sam was wrongly sent off while Brown accused referee Anthony Taylor of deciding to dismiss Ian Ashbee only after bowing to pressure from Charlton players.
Fight night: Charlton and Hull players square up to each other during last night's bad-tempered clash at the KC Stadium
All hell broke loose moments after Luke Varney cashed in on Boaz Myhill's blunder to score in the 41st-minute.
Ashbee and Sam saw red following a collision deep in the home team's half when the Charlton man reacted to a challenge from the Hull skipper.
That sparked a brawl which saw most of the players wade in. "I've got a bit of a problem with it [the red card]," said Pardew. "Ashbee had to be sent off but I don't know what our boy was supposed to do.
"He's got to have some sort of tussle and fight back, it's ridiculous. That's how I view it and I'll stand by that."
However, Brown claims his man was also harshly treated. The Hull boss said: "There's been an injustice served in more ways than one and without getting myself into trouble, we didn't deserve to lose the game.
"He [Taylor] was quite decisive with the first red card [for Sam] and was taking the name of Ashbee for a yellow card. He was then approached by two Charlton players and changed his mind to a red card.
"If he felt it was a yellow card he should have given him a yellow."
Chris Iwelumo's goal gave Charlton the points, although Hull substitute Steve McPhee struck a late consolation to set up a tense finale.
