Chelsea admit FA charge over ref row at Old Trafford

Chelsea have admitted a Football Association charge of failing to control their players during the Premier League game against Manchester United on September 23.

The charge relates to the conduct of Chelsea players towards referee Mike Dean following the dismissal of midfielder Mikel John Obi.

Assistant first-team coach Steve Clarke has also admitted a charge of using abusive and/or insulting words towards the match officials at the end of the game at Old Trafford, which United won 2-0.

Both the club and Clarke have requested personal hearings which will be scheduled in due course.
