Chelsea have offered Deco a deal worth an incredible £92,000-aweek after tax to convince him to move to Stamford Bridge.
The Portugal midfielder is still to choose whether he will join Inter Milan or Chelsea having already decided to bring his four-year spell at Barcelona to an end.
But Chelsea are hoping their massive contract offer, which is 25 per cent more than he received at the Nou Camp, will secure the transfer.

It has been reported in Spain that the 30-year-old has been promised a three-year deal worth 6m-a-year after tax, which would make him one of the best-paid players at Chelsea.
The club is still in negotiations with Barcelona over the fee and are hoping to secure his services for £10m.
Germany captain Michael Ballack and Ukraine striker Andriy Shevchenko are both reported to earn around £130,000-a-week at Stamford Bridge, as is England captain John Terry since he signed a new deal.
Deco, whose side were knocked out of Euro 2008 in the quarter-finals by Germany last week, said: 'I'm going to have news soon. I already knew about the interest from Chelsea and other teams.
'I knew Barcelona wanted rid of me, Ronaldinho and Samuel Eto'o. I have to respect their decision, move on, and think about my own career.'
