Chelsea star Drogba to decide on future within next ten days

16 July 2008
Didier Drogba will decide by the end of the month whether to leave Chelsea or sign a new deal at Stamford Bridge.
Drogba, 30, has appeared unsettled at the club since the departure of Jose Mourinho in November, and looked to have played his last game for Chelsea when he was sent off in the Champions League Final.
But new boss Luiz Felipe Scolari has said the Ivory Coast striker is ‘200 per cent’ in his plans, and Drogba’s agent Thierno Seydi revealed: ‘Didier has given himself 10 days — if nothing happens he will stay at Chelsea and extend his contract by two years.
Will he stay or will he go? As ever, Drogba is centre of the attention
‘He doesn't see himself starting training in a few days with Chelsea and then leaving to a new club.
‘The reality of November is not that of today. At the time Didier was affected by the departure of Jose Mourinho who he was very close to. Today, there is nothing to say that he won’t stay at Chelsea.’
