The People claims Chelsea are still keeping track of the Frenchman although it would be a surprise if Spurs were to sell him.

The Blues reportedely offered as much as £12m for Chimbonda in June but then Spurs manager Martin Jol did not want to sell.

However, new boss Juande Ramos may want to completely rebuild the White Hart Lane squad and start from the back.
