Avram Grant's side could only manage a 1-1 draw at home to Bolton to finish two points behind United, who won a 17th top-flight championship thanks to their 2-0 victory at Wigan.

The Chelsea captain will today have another scan on an arm injury he picked up yesterday to see if he can face Sir Alex Ferguson's team in the showpiece European final on 21 May.

Terry was carried off on a stretcher in the 13th minute after colliding with goalkeeper Petr Cech's knee but was later told he had only dislocated his elbow rather than suffered a break.

The defender, who is confident he will be fit enough to play in Russia, said: "We respect them [United], they have been fantastic this year. They are top of the League and deserve to be there, but Moscow can be a different story and we are aiming to do that.

"The Champions League is the one missing from my collection, and the club's, so of course I'm going to say it's the one I want now."

Midfielder John Obi Mikel echoed Terry's sentiments and warned United that Chelsea will have the last laugh by drawing on last season's Cup final triumph at Wembley.

Mikel said: "Last year they won the League and then we beat them in the FA Cup Final. They have won the League again so we have to make sure Moscow is a different ball game. We have to win the Champions League."

Manager Avram Grant refused to confirm whether he would still be in charge next season after yesterday's draw.

His name was sung for the first time by the fans as he went on a lap of honour with the players but when asked if he feared Bolton was his last game at Stamford Bridge, he said: "I don't know why we are speaking about this all the time. There is always speculation and I don't like to answer it."
