Cherries linked with future swoop for Reading's Karacan

Court return? Karacan

Bournemouth are keen to re-sign Reading midfielder Jem Karacan on loan, but boss Steve Coppell will run his eye over the 19-year-old during the pre-season campaign.

First and foremost for the Cherries however will be finalising a new regime off the pitch and finally coming out of administration.

The continuing uncertainty surrounding preferred bidder Jeff Mostyn's takeover, or at least it's non-completion, means the south coast club are still unable to bring in new faces to a small squad that has seen a number of players depart including highly-rated Wales forward Sam Vokes.

Cherries fans have in fact looked on with some incredulity as the club have brought in a new chief executive, a director of football and new deals for their assistant manager Rob Newman and reserve team boss Eddie Howe while continuing to be hamstrung on the playing side.
