The midfielder has endured two of the toughest nights in the club's recent history when they have gone out of the last four of the Champions League at Liverpool.

Cole admitted that it can be tough to play at Goodison Park but is confident Avram Grant's side can see through their 2-1 advantage from the first leg to reach Wembley.

He said: "We have had miserable trips back from the city but Everton are a different club so you cannot put them in the same bracket.

"Going to Goodison with a result changes the way they have to play and might give us more space up there, where it is notoriously hard to get the ball down."
