Cole says players will back new England captain - whoever it is

Joe Cole insists that whoever wins the right to lead England under Fabio Capello will have the full support of his entire team.
The midfielder - whose club skipper John Terry is one of the favourites alongside Rio Ferdinand, to be handed the armband - believes there are a handful of genuine candidates and is happy to lend his backing to Capello's choice.
Solid Cole: Chelsea midfielder believes new captain will get full support from players, manager and fans
The Italian has rotated the captaincy since taking over from Steve McClaren but on Tuesday, just 24 hours before the friendly clash with the Czech Republic, he will announce a more permanent leader.
"We're waiting to find out but there are so many leaders in the team and whoever it is I'm convinced will do a great job for the country," Cole said.
"There will be a lot on their shoulders but they will do a great job. JT and Rio are both great players, they are both top central defenders. And both would be equally deserving of the captain's armband if they got it - as would (Steven) Gerrard, as would (David) Beckham to be honest.
"It's not up to me to say who should get it but what I can say is that whoever gets it will have the 100% support of the lads and of the manager and of the whole country."
He added: "It's a very tough one for Fabio Capello to call but that's his job, that's what he gets paid to do. I imagine it will be a difficult decision so we just have to wait and see."
