West Ham's owner Bjorgolfur Gudmundsson has growing financial concerns following the collapse of Landsbanki, the Icelandic bank in which he was the main shareholder, and the Icelander has since put the club up for sale.

Wales international Bellamy is wanted by Spurs and West Ham could be tempted to get the 29-year-old off their wage bill.

But defender Collins said: "You've got to hang on to players like Craig if you want to progress. I am sure everyone at the club will same thing because he is a great lad to have around."
