Jonathan Trott's air of arrogance marks him as a new Kevin Pietersen

Trott is set to make his Test debut on Thursday, and his lack of experience at this level means his call-up represents a gamble by the selectors.
Yet Anton Ferreira, who was Trott's coach when he represented South Africa at Under-15 and Under-19 levels, believes his protege has the confidence and cockiness required to help England regain the Ashes, just as Pietersen did with his 158 at The Brit Oval in 2005.
"You can draw similarities between Jonathan and Pietersen," said Ferreira. "There is that presence at the crease, the ability to command respect and give the impression that he is in control.
"Even at Under-15 level, he always had that air of arrogance and ruthlessness that you need. He would never take a step back.
"Jonathan will always be keen to take up any kind of challenge. His personality and his character would suggest he would be able to step up and take this situation in his stride.
"I remember an Under-19 tour of Pakistan in 1999, when Jonathan absolutely obliterated the Pakistani bowling attack and made a double century. He is someone who always looked to dominate the bowling.
"Now it is all about how he adapts to Test cricket, but there is no doubt that he has the ability."
