Spread betting tips for cricket games

Spread betting bookies can make mistakes. Perhaps the most famous mistake came in 1999 during the cricket world cup which produced one of the biggest losses in sports spread betting history. The company in question was unaware of a crucial factor in one of their spread market predictions on the total number of wides bowled in the tournament and got it wrong. Due to the new white ball used in the English conditions they vastly under-estimated the number of wides.
The company predicted a buy in the mid-200's pricing and experienced spread bettors noticed this as an error. Before the tournament began these bettors drove the price to 500. After the tournament had ended, the ball, which was difficult to control in English conditions, had produced 979 wides and a £1/2 million loss for the company on the tournament.
Cricket spread betting shows match conditions and equipment can have a vast effect on the outcome of the games and spread betting markets. The story of the World Cup wides explains just one reason for researching the conditions before you commit to betting on spreads. It is easy to forget the information is the key to making good decisions in spread betting. Challenging their judgments whenever you research your markets is important; you've got a chance of beating spread betting companies if you believe you have better knowledge on the weather, conditions, fitness of players, form and equipment for the game.
It sounds bold, but many punters jump into player performances or individual batting statistics for runs before they have considered the weather conditions for the game. It may be self-destructive to punt the day before without knowing whether the forecast is for rain, humid conditions or a hard, dry pitch. Holding back until the captains have inspected the pitch and chosen whether to bat or bowl may help you make a more accurate spread bet. Sometimes the conditions dictate that you should not spread bet at all. If conditions are unfamiliar to you, betting for the sake of it may turn out to the costliest bet you have ever made! Before you trade, make certain you're positive that you're doing the right thing.
It's important to keep close to your spread betting plan. It's very alluring to end a trade for an early for a profit and also keep open a bad bet in the hope that things will get better. If you plan your close before you bet you should have a clear understanding before you place the trade on how you should act in either eventuality. The plan also involves research. Make sure for the markets you enter you have a clear understanding on what a player is capable of according to past form. Diving in without carrying out the suitable research means betting blind. There are so many spread betting statistics available online that you can do as much research as any spread betting company and bet as you wish.
Guiding your own pricing is also important. Sophisticated spread bettors will do their research and then make their own prices. After they have a price they look at what the spread market offered is and choose markets where they believe they have genuine differences in their opinions.
Also remember the famous mistake and be aware of the new ball. If you are betting in-play, knowing when a new ball is due can change the whole match and therefore could alter your entire plan.
Spreading betting can result in losses that exceed your original deposit. Remember to bet responsibly.
