Critics have boosted title bid, says Chelsea star Lamps
04 March 2008
• More Premier League news club by club
The Blues bounced back from the defeat against Spurs to crush West Ham 4-0 on Saturday and Lampard said: "Everyone has been waiting for Chelsea to take a fall. It comes with the territory. We won back-to-back titles and were still criticised for being boring.
"What's very important is that we unite as a club. I think together we have a great chance of doing it this season. If we win our game in hand we are four points behind Arsenal and three behind United. We have to play them both at home. It comes down to us."

Making his point: Frank Lampard celebrates against West Ham after scoring the penalty
Lampard will hear today whether he has escaped a three-match ban after his sending off at Upton Park.
Referee Peter Walton is understood to have written to the FA to admit he was wrong to show Lampard the red card after watching the incident involving Luis Boa Morte again.
Chelsea face Olympiacos tomorrow for a place in the Champions League quarter-finals after a goalless first leg in Athens and Lampard added: "It will be difficult. They are dangerous on the counter so perhaps they are set up come away and nick a goal. It's not over yet."
Final disappointment: but Lampard is hoping Chelsea will prove the critics wrong
