Cudicini angry as City move is blocked

The goalkeeper has finally decided to quit as a No2 after three seasons in Petr Cech's shadow and Manchester City are believed to have enquired about him.
Cudicini's patience was tested last season when he returned from injury to find he had slipped behind Henrique Hilario in the pecking order while Cech was recovering from a fractured skull.
On at least two occasions, he told Jose Mourinho he was unhappy with the situation and is now angry he is about to miss another chance to play regularly. His agent, Fernando Pastorello, said: "Carlo is not happy. He had an opportunity to leave and play a bit more but Chelsea said no.
"They told him he had to stay because there was not enough time to find a new goalkeeper to replace him.
"Carlo thinks it is time for him to play a bit more. At Chelsea he expects to be the second choice but when you get the chance to play it is something you have to be interested in."
Cudicini has made just 15 league appearances since Cech arrived and has looked short of confidence.
There would be no shortage of clubs interested if Chelsea were to release him, with Newcastle considering a loan move and the position of Arsenal's Jens Lehmann being questioned.
