Davies priced out of Tottenham move

Curtis Davies' agent has hit out at West Brom for pricing the defender out of a dream move to Premier League club Tottenham.

Spurs boss Martin Jol is thought to be willing to pay £6million for the centre-back, but that falls well short of Albion's £8million valuation of the 22-year-old, who has represented England at Under-21 level.

And agent Phil Sproson insists the Baggies' asking price is far too high, telling the Sunday Mirror: "West Brom are trying to price him out of the market and £8million is totally unrealistic.

"What foundation is there for that? He's an Under-21 and had one season in the Premiership.

"You can't compare Curtis to someone like Matthew Upson, who has played at full England level and had more seasons in the Premiership."
