D-Day for Kauto Star team

The Cheltenham Gold Cup runner-up has the John Smith's Melling Chase over two and a half miles and the three mile one furlong John Smith's Bowl as options.
Aintree option: Kauto Star may run next week
After being thumped by stablemate Denman in the Gold Cup, Nicholls is considering aiming him at Aintree where a run in the shorter event would see him meet old rival Monet's Garden.
Nicholls said: 'Clive is coming down. I've not had chance since Cheltenham to talk to him in depth.
'We'll enter Kauto Star for the two and a half mile and three mile chases. That doesn't mean he is going to run.
'We'll wait until next week to make sure he is 100 per cent. He's not come out of the Gold Cup with any excuses and is in fine form.'
Nicholls is close to giving a debut to a gelding partowned by Sir Alex Ferguson.
Given the fiery nature of recent Premier League matches, the French-bred is aptly named Quell The Storm and is likely to appear in a bumper next month.
Meanwhile, Osako D'Airy, who has enjoyed a successful campaign with wins in three handicap hurdles and places in grade two novice company, has been switched to Paul Nicholls from the Steve Gollings' stable by owner John Webb.
Nicholls said: 'Whether he'll run again this season I don't know but he is something to go chasing with next season.'
