Dean wants a more caring elite policy

Dean Richards, the Harlequins director of rugby, today admitted the "jury is still out" following the introduction of the new agreement between the clubs and England over the Elite Player squad.

Richards, whose side face London Irish in the league at Reading tomorrow, was irked by the fact that England didn't inform him of scrum-half Danny Care's injury until two days after the event.

Richards said: "You can certainly say the jury is out on the new agreement and there is bound to be a period of bedding in with problems arising.

Wasps, meanwhile, entertain Leicester at Wycombe on Sunday while Saracens are away to Northampton tomorrow.
