Defeat at Hereford ends Wrexham's life in the Football League

Wrexham have been relegated from the Football League for the first time in their 136-year history after a 2-0 defeat at Hereford.

Saturday's victory over Notts County gave Wrexham hope, but goals from Gary Hooper and Theo Robinson ensured Brian Little's side are down.

Even if Wrexham win their last two games, they will go down as third-bottom Dagenham play 23rd-placed Mansfield on the last day of the season, ensuring one of the teams finishes on 44 points.

Hereford are four points clear of Rochdale in the final automatic promotion spot.
