Dele Adebola feeling confident

Former Crystal Palace striker Dele Adebola insists Bristol City are confident they can defy the odds and knock his old side out of the play-offs.

City go to Selhurst Park for the first leg of their semi-final tomorrow with just two wins from their last 11 games.

Furthermore, Palace are the only one of the Championship play-off contenders City have failed to beat this season, with Gary Johnson's side losing 2-0 and drawing 1-1.

But Adebola, who spent a year at Palace before moving to Coventry in June 2003, said: "It's going to be a very interesting match-up and both games in the league were very difficult. Although we didn't manage to beat them we are very confident heading down there.

"We dominated the game at Ashton Gate but you have got to find a finish or not concede and we only came out with a point when we thought we could have had more. We have got to make any dominance count this time."

Adebola, 32, who joined City in January, added: "A draw would be a good result. At home we are fantastic so if we could get them here on those terms that would be great."
