Dennis refuses to be drawn on Alonso future

Dennis has again adamantly insisted the matter will not be up for discussion until after tomorrow's Brazilian Grand Prix in which the destiny of this year's world title will be decided.
Reflecting on a turbulent season: Alonso can still win the title, however
Alonso has a chance of winning a third successive championship at Interlagos, but that bid has been overshadowed by his bitter and rocky relationship with Dennis and team-mate Lewis Hamilton.
Since it emerged Alonso demanded number-one status within the team, otherwise threatening he would release details of emails that would prove damaging in the spy scandal, his position has appeared untenable.
The suspicion is the 26-year-old Spaniard will return to Renault for next year, the team that made him champion in 2005 and 2006.
Yet Dennis said: "Fernando has a contract with our team.
"We said last week, two weeks ago, four weeks ago, we aren't going to have any dialogue with our drivers about whether they may or may not wish to stay in our team until after this grand prix.
"We are concentrating on the world championship, but the results speak for themselves this year - a great driver, a great talent, and I don't think any team would not recognise that."
Dennis also shied away from revealing whether his relationship with Alonso had improved since admitting at the Court of Appeal hearing into the spy case last month they were no longer on speaking terms.
"I've tried to step back from both drivers in this difficult situation," added Dennis.
"I've tried to be even-handed and available to both of them, and I've tried to make sure their engineers and the rest of the team dedicated to their cars understand the sensitivities that exist.
"I'm available to anybody at any time, but I'm not going to push myself into any situation."
An FIA official will today oversee all that unfolds in the McLaren garage throughout final practice and qualifying to ensure Alonso receives equal treatment.
FIA president Max Mosley acted after receiving a complaint from Spanish Motor Sport Authority president Carlos Gracia who feared Hamilton was receiving preferential treatment over Alonso.
Formula One supremo Bernie Ecclestone believes the move to be unnecessary, yet Dennis is unperturbed by the matter.
"I made contact with the FIA representative in Spain, and met with him and his assistant and invited them here," said Dennis.
"There is a firm belief in Spain we are not being even-handed, and that is contrary to the fact, but I felt that would perhaps defuse the situation.
"We did meet on Wednesday morning and had a perfectly amicable conversation.
"To ensure communication, (test driver) Pedro (de la Rosa) will translate, and they can ask any question and we will give them an honest answer.
"There will be an additional scrutineer in the garage, and as far as I'm concerned he can wear a headset, or do anything he wants.
"That only makes it even more transparent to everyone that we're only doing what we said we would do, and I've no problem with it.
"People have asked: 'Are you offended? Are you upset?' It's just not relevant to us.
"We will just get on with our job and be judged by the results of the race, and hopefully it will be a good, fair outcome, and they won't have any complaints."
