Derby to meet Swansea's £2m valuation of Holland ace midfielder Bodde

Derby County are set to match Swansea City’s asking price of £2 million for their Dutch midfielder Ferrie Bodde.
Bodde has said he wants to go to Pride Park, even though Swansea manager Roberto Martinez claimed his quotes were taken out of context.
But now it seems Derby will up their bid after having two offers - both thought to be less than £1 million - turned down already for the Holland Under-21 player.
Mulling over: Swansea City's Ferrie Bodde is contemplating his future.
Swansea have been holding out for £2 million though with Martinez claiming that Bodde is capable of playing for a top-four Premier League club one day and making the Holland squad for the next World Cup.
And relegated Derby have been encouraged by the fact that Bodde has not only put in a transfer request but also talked of his desire to sign for Paul Jewell.
“I have to think about my career and the prospect of joining a club like Derby County is one I just cannot ignore,” he said.
“I really want Swansea to do a deal with Derby and give me the chance of talking to them.”
Bodde scored six times as Swansea won promotion to the Championship last term and was also named in the PFA’s League One team of the season.
