Detectives set to raid two more Premier League clubs

Transfer dealings at the clubs have given officers cause for suspicion and a repeat of this week's dramatic raids on football figures connected with Portsmouth is anticipated within weeks.
Arrested: Portsmouth boss Harry Redknapp and (pictured from top to bottom) Amdy Faye, Milan Mandaric, Peter Storrie and Willie McKay
A source close to one of the clubs said: "Everyone I know there is taking a big breath. The word on the street is that they are going to be hit and it's just a question of time before there is a knock on the door."
Former employees are as likely as current staff to be targeted given the scope of the police's investigation so far, which has now yielded a total of seven arrests.
Having instigated the biggest criminal investigation into English football, City police are under pressure to get results. The force — which specialises in fraud offences — was criticised yesterday by Redknapp for heavyhanded tactics and using him to raise the profile of their investigation.
The Portsmouth manager vehemently denied doing anything wrong and his plea of innocence was today supported by long-standing business associate Barry Silkman.
The licensed agent said: "If it's to do with finance — and it appears to be — the one person in a football club who would not be involved is Harry.
"I have done deals with West Ham and Portsmouth and Harry just did not get involved with agents' fees, salaries, transfer fees or anything like that."
