Didier Drogba: We are more potent than Barcelona

Didier Drogba has warned Barcelona that their attacking threat is nothing compared to Chelsea's.

The Catalans have scored 100 League goals in just 34 games this season and know that netting just once at Stamford Bridge will mean Chelsea will have to get two to progress to the final in Rome.

The trio of Lionel Messi, Samuel Eto'o and Thierry Henry have been responsible for most of them but Drogba believes Barca should be more worried by Chelsea's talent across the whole pitch.

The Ivory Coast international, who has scored 10 in his last 14 games, said: "In the last three months we showed we can score goals. They have Messi, Eto'o, Henry, [Andres] Iniesta - but we have more players able to score.

"Our midfielders can score, our defenders can score. The goals can come from every position and we have to show that."

Drogba hopes referee Tom Henning Ovrebo, from Norway, will match the performance of Wolfgang Stark in the first leg at the Camp Nou last week and not cave into Barcelona's moaning over Chelsea's physical style. Barcelona have complained bitterly about Stark's handling of the goalless draw, however Drogba (above) added: "They complained, sure. But their complaints are coming from frustration because they didn't score.

"I can understand that but the referee was good for this kind of game. He showed good control. They have tried to put a bit of pressure on the referee for the game but we know it's a game that everyone wants to watch."

Drogba has been warned by coach Guus Hiddink that he and his team-mates are running out of chances to win the competition.

Half of the squad are now over 30 and Hiddink said: "These players don't have five, six or seven more years to get the same chances that they have had in previous years.

"It is very respectable that Chelsea made it to five semi-finals and a final in the last six years.

"But this is one of the last occasions for many players to get to where they want to be."
