Dilshan the first winner in TV trial

Sri Lanka batsman Tillakaratne Dilshan today became the first player to overturn an umpire's decision using the television referral system.

The Test match against India in Colombo is trialling the system allowing teams to challenge officials' decisions. That enabled Dilshan, initially adjudged caught behind, to overturn the verdict.

Earlier, India captain Anil Kumble failed in a third umpire review of an lbw decision against Malinda Warnapura. The hosts reached 422 for four by the close of play.
