Diva Dida was wrong, admits Kaka

Milan striker Kaka has admitted that Dida's over-the-top reaction during a clash with a Celtic fan was wrong but insists that the whole Milan squad are behind him.

The Brazilian keeper was involved in an altercation with a supporter, who had run onto the pitch to celebrate Celtic's last-minute winner.

The fan, who has since been identified and banned by the club for life, made contact with Dida who proceeded to briefly give chase before collapsing to the ground theatrically before being carried off on a stretcher.

"Dida is a great goalkeeper, we see him every day," Kaka said. "For sure at Glasgow Dida did not do well; it was a difficult moment for him. He had just let in a goal and then there was the slap from that fan.

"Nelson made his choice to do what he did and we are close to him even though what he did was wrong. The entire team is close to him. In the past he has given us all a lot of satisfaction and so it's only fair that we help him out now."

AC Milan forward Kaka was named FIFPro World Player of the Year on Friday for inspiring his side to a seventh European Cup win
