Doncaster and Huddersfield to host Challenge Cup semi finals

Doncaster's Keepmoat Stadium is the surprise choice to host one of the Carnegie Challenge Cup semi-finals. Hull FC will face Wakefield on Sunday July 27 in a 3.30pm kick-off at the 15,231-seat stadium which opened in December 2006.
The other tie, the heavyweight clash between St Helens and Leeds, will be at Hudersfield's Galpharm Stadium the day before, kicking off at 12.30pm. Both will be live on BBC.
Grand stage: Doncaster's Keepmoat Stadium.
Hoping to play a part in the semi-finals will be St Helens loose forward Paul Sculthorpe as he battles back from three years of injury. He had expected to be involved in Saints' quarter-final win at Hull KR, but coach Daniel Anderson decided to leave him out and bring him back for Friday's Super League clash against Rovers.
'I just thought the cup game was going to be a bit too intense when Scully had only played a few games and not finished any of them,' said Anderson yesterday.
'But he will play in our Super League game against Rovers on Friday when the pressure won't be quite the same and he still has plenty of time to make a big contribution to our season.'
Dave Ellis, defensive expert with the French national rugby union team, is a surprise candidate for the managerial vacancy at Huddersfield.
