Double boost for Fulham as McBride and Bullard edge towards return

Fulham forward Brian McBride will be back in action by the end of the month.

The American international dislocated his knee cap back in August but is now on the road to recovery and has the trip to face Bolton at the Reebok Stadium on 29 January pencilled in for a return.

Meanwhile Jimmy Bullard hopes to take the next step in his recovery from a serious knee injury this week.

He played 60 minutes for the reserves last month and is optimistic about a return.

He said: "I'm hoping for another practice match and to get 70 or 80 minutes under my belt."
