Drogba is determined to quit the club at the end of the campaign following the departure of manager Jose Mourinho and admits he can't even look at certain players because of their role in the 44-year-old's shock exit last month.
Train away: Didier Drogba (left) believes he needs a 'new challenge' but says he will do his best to fire Chelsea to glory this season
The Ivory Coast striker claims Chelsea have been "broken" by events of the past few weeks, which has seen Avram Grant replace the former Porto coach at the helm.
But the appointment of Henk Ten Cate as Grant's assistant has filled Drogba with confidence that the team can still win the title even though they are seven points behind leaders Arsenal.
He said: "I still believe in this team despite the problems. I think Henk Ten Cate will be good for us. Now the trauma is behind us I still believe we have the capacity to surprise people."
However, Drogba, who was top scorer in England last term with 33 goals, is adamant this will be his final season here with Barcelona, Real Madrid, Inter Milan, AC Milan and Marseille his preferred destinations.
He added: "It's true I've been learning both Spanish and Italian for a few years now and I need a new challenge.
"I've been so angry with what happened to Mourinho that I truly thought of leaving in this winter market, but I will do everything to defend my shirt loyally until the end of the season."
Chelsea have suffered a further blow with captain John Terry set to have a knee operation today that will rule him out for a month, while they will also be without Wayne Bridge (suspended) and Ashley Cole (ankle) for their match at Middlesbrough tomorrow.
