Drogba tells Scolari: You must play me with Anelka

Didier Drogba believes Chelsea manager Luiz Felipe Scolari is not getting the most out of him and Nicolas Anelka.

Scolari has yet to play both strikers together up front despite Drogba finally returning to full fitness after a knee injury.

The Blues boss still favours the 4-3-3 formation even though his team have picked up just 10 points from their last seven league games and is not considering changing to 4-4-2.

The Portuguese prefers Drogba to play down the middle on his own, although he has given the pair licence to swap positions during the odd attack.

Drogba said: "It's not exactly what we would like as two centre forwards. I am not in my position when I have to go to the left and the same goes for Nicolas. We do it for the team, but I don't know how long it's going to work because it's not our natural position.

"I still don't understand why managers are afraid to partner Nicolas and me.

"All we want is to play together, but really together. Not one in the middle and the other on the left."
