Drogba's on a mission

Didier Drogba today revealed his determination to fire Chelsea into the Champions League semi-finals and replace Peter Osgood in the club's record books in the process.

Drogba has scored 16 goals for Chelsea in European competitions since he joined the club in 2004 - the same as Osgood managed in his 11-year career at Stamford Bridge.

Osgood is still revered among Chelsea fans for his goal-scoring exploits which included the winner against Real Madrid in the European Cup-Winners' Cup Final in 1971.

Chelsea go into the second leg of their quarter-final at home to Fenerbahce tonight trailing 2-1, and the Ivory Coast international said: "It will be a good achievement to overtake Osgood and I hope to do it in this game. I would love to get the record, but I really want the team to win because it's an important game for the future of Chelsea in the European Cup."
