West Ham's hopes of consolidating their challenge for a place in Europe were boosted today by confirmation that Kieron Dyer's comeback from a double fracture of his right leg is ahead of schedule.
The £6million signing from Newcastle is on target to make a poignant return against his former club at Upton Park on 26 April, almost eight months to the day after he suffered his injury in a Carling Cup clash at Bristol Rovers.

The news that Dyer is up and running in training softens a new blow after striker Craig Bellamy was told he will miss the rest of the current campaign.
As revealed last week, the Welsh international has been hit by knee and groin complaints which will require surgery.
Injuries have restricted Bellamy to just nine games since a £7.5m move from Liverpool last July.
