Ebanks-Blake fighting fit for Wolves play-off push

Sylvan Ebanks-Blake is keen to show tonight he is in the shape to keep Wolves in contention for the play-offs. Mick McCarthy's side must beat FA Cup finalists Cardiff at Molineux to stand a realistic chance of a top-six finish.

Ebanks-Blake has scored 10 goals for Wolves since signing from Plymouth in January, but last month he hit back at suggestions he is overweight.

He celebrated his goal against Ipswich on Saturday by taking off his shirt to reveal his physique. His joy was short-lived as Ipswich equalised in the last minute, but he has light-heartedly threatened to go one step further to silence anyone else who questions his fitness.

"I don't know what I'll do if I score and we win," he said. "I might take all my clothes off. I want three points. I'd have swapped all my other goals for a win against Ipswich.

"It was just a spontaneous thing when I scored. But you have critics in football and part of the game is proving those critics wrong. I've got a job to do and I'm doing it.

"You have to be fit to play at this level. It's just that my natural shape is probably not the most flattering."
