Switzerland 1 Turkey 2
9.39: Full-time in Basel and co-hosts Switzerland are already out of Euro 2008. The sad sight of their manager Kobi Khun staring into space tells a thousand words. Portugal are through to the last eight, while Turkey face a winners-take-all clash against Czech Republic on Sunday.
9.36: GOAL How do you like your drama? Arda Turan cuts in from the right and fires in a shot, which takes a wicked deflection and flies into the roof of the net. Agony for the hosts.
9.31 Switzerland win a free-kick in a dangerous position but Ludovic Magnin drives against the wall.
9.25: Switzerland's moment could have come and gone. The co-hosts break away with pace, and a fine cross finds Johan Vonlanthen, who forces a fine save from Volkan. The Turkey keeper then shows superb quick reactions to save Hakan Yakin's rebound attempt.
9.17: Both sides have done admirably when you consider the conditions but the game has started to drift.
9.09: Switzerland striker Johan Vonlanthen replaces Tranquillo Barnetta. A point will do neither side a huge favour here.
9.00: GOAL: All level again at St Jakob Park. Nihat curls a cross in from the left and Semih Senturk heads in. An assist must go to Swiss keeper Benaglio though, who parries the ball into his own net.

8.51: Hakan Balta foolishly sticks out an arm and tries to deflect a free-kick towards goal. The Turkish bench rises as one demanding a penalty - instead Balta is booked.
8.49: Under way again - half-time was slightly extended to give the groundsmen time to work on the pitch. Mehmet Topal and Semih Senturk have replaced Gokdeniz Karadeniz and Tumer Metin for Turkey.
8.31: Enormous cheer from the home crowd as the half-time whistle is blown. Farcial conditions, but it's certainly entertaining. Huge second half ahead for Turkey, who are staring at elimination.
8.24: It has virtually stopped raining - which will probably save the game.
8.19: Nobody can complain about a lack of drama tonight. Switzerland should have doubled their lead, but Hakan Yakin screws wide from three yards from a marvellous Valon Behrami cross.
8.16: GOAL: Simply one of the most extraordinary goals in major tournament history. Philippe Senderos sets up Eren Derdiyok on the right hand side, and when he fires across the area the ball stops in a puddle for Hakan Yakin to tap in.
Heavy rain made the match a virtual farce in Basle
8.14: There's an element of farce about events here now. Massive puddles all over the pitch and the ran still falls. If this was a match outside of a major tournament, it would surely be postponed. They will do anything to avoid that here though, as a postponement would mean an organisational nightmare.
8.10: A fine free-kick from Tranquillo Barnetta from 20 yards is superbly palmed away by Volkan.
8.04: Gokhan Inler fires a decent effort from 30 yards, but Volkan deals with it comfortably
7.59: Weather report: out of nothing the heaviest of rain starts to fall, and with it a minor gale. It could turn the game into a lottery.
7.54: Permutations, permutations. Everyone is decided though that Switzerland will be out of the tournament if they lose. Turkey will stil have a chance if they lose however, albeit a slim one.
7.49: The Turks begin brightly and Nihat fires in a low cross from the right, which is well gathered by Switzerland keeper Diego Benaglio.
7.45: The game gets under way, with the atmosphere everything it wasn't for Switzerland's opening game - very noisy.
Stephan Lichtsteiner of Switzerland controls the ball in front of Turkish midfielder Arda Turan in the crucial Euro 2008 match in Basle
Co-hosts Switzerland will be desperate to beat Turkey and avoid the earliest possible exit from their own European Championships.
Turkey also lost their opening match, but both teams will be aware they could draw level with the Czech Republic after their defeat earlier.
This is the first meeting between the two countries since the extraodinary World Cup qualifying play-off in 2005, with violent clashes leading to Turkey being handed a six-game behind-closed-doors ban by Fifa.
Turkish supporters are out in large numbers in Basle
